For this task we each individually came up with a concept for a horror film. These concepts were discussed and the two concept that we thought were unique and interesting. We had to write information about the film as well as including Propp's and Todorov's theory since it would outline the plot of the film. We then presented these concepts to the class and they gave us positive and negative feedback on both concepts. The class had a vote and decided what concept we should use for our trailer.
Movie titleThe title 'Uploaded' came from the idea that a video of supernatural events being uploaded. We also included a style of typography that reflects the synopsis of the film.

SypnosisThe main outline of the film is explained. It gives the audience an idea of the backstory as well as giving us a guideline to follow when we begin to film our trailer.

TARGET AUDIENCE & CERTIFICATEWe decided to give our film a certificate of 15 since there will be scenes of violence. However, our film focuses on a psychological horror rather than a physical one which may attract teenagers and young adults.
todorov's theoryTodorov's theory is used to outline the main events of the film. The equilibrium represents normality compared to the disequilibrium which represents the problem. The attempts represent how the protagonists try to resolve the situation and the resolution represents how the protagonist defeats the antagonist and the return of normality.

film influencesThree supernatural films were used as influences for our own one: Unfriended, Paranormal Activity and Selfie from Hell. These films are based on supernatural events that are recorded on a camera.
sub-genre, theme & uspThe sub-genre of our film is supernatural since there will be scenes relating to the idea of the supernatural. The theme for our film is survival since the main goal for the protagonists are for them to survive against these supernatural forces. Additionally, the unique selling point (USP) of our film is that it reflects the idea that these supernatural events can happen to anyone.
